about
the mississauga girls baseball league:
The
Mississauga Girls Baseball League was established in 1994
to provide recreational and competitive baseball for girls
and young women, with the objective of teaching fair play,
sportsmanship and good citizenship, while developing players'
skills, encouraging team-work and having FUN.
The
organization is managed by a group of volunteer administrators
and coaches. The costs of uniforms and equipment,
and tournament and umpires' fees, are satisfied out of funds
raised through player registration fees, sponsor donations,
and team and parent fundraising activities.
The
playing season usually begins in mid-May and continues through
August, consisting of one or two games and one practice
in each week. Players can expect to participate in
one or two weekend tournaments during the season.
Off-season (indoor) training is provided for all players.
